Congratulations to Dr. Karen Kopciuk on her promotion to Adjunct Associate Professor in the Depts of Oncology and Statistics at the University of Calgary.
This promotion recognizes Karen’s contributions to research, particularly in the areas of genetic epidemiology and ‘omics data, and her dedication as a teacher and mentor of graduate students, post-docs, Statistical Associates and clinical trainees. Karen is regarded as a national leader in high throughput methods and genetic epidemiology and she is regularly invited by the Statistical Society of Canada, and others, to organize and chair sessions on these emerging areas of statistical research.
Karen has reached another milestone this month – 10 years with Alberta Health Services.
