The Statistical Society of Canada has recently awarded the Associate Statistician (A.Stat.) designation to Jason Xu from the Tomorrow Project and the Professional Statistician (P.Stat.) designation to Thomas Speidel. Thomas worked with CEPR for nine years on a full-time basis and continues to work with us on a contract basis.
The A.Stat. designation is awarded to individuals who have recently completed their degree in statistics while the P.Stat. designation is awarded to individuals with formal training in statistics and a minimum of 6 years of professional experience as a statistician. Both designations recognize the commitment to the highest standards of statistical practice.
Congratulations to you both!
