Congratulations to Dr. Cheryl Peters and her colleagues who were awarded a CIHR Rapid Response COVID-19 project grant entitled: “The Anatomy, Determinants and Impacts of the Cargill COVID-19 Outbreak Among Newcomers and their Families in Canada”. This one-year grant is led by Dr Gabriel Fabreau and includes a large team of investigators from Alberta Health, Alberta Health Services, the University of Calgary to name the main institutions involved. This grant was ranked 4 out of 443 grants in the population health stream (0.9% percentile) which is a remarkable achievement. Cheryl brings expertise in occupational health to this multidisciplinary team.
