Congratulations to Dr. Miranda Fidler-Benaoudia and her research team members (Drs Sara McKillop, Colleen Cuthbert, Winson Cheung) on being awarded a one year grant from the Alberta Cancer Foundation in their recent competition for projects in sarcoma and pancreatic cancer. Miranda’s team project is entitled “Symptom burdens and trajectories among adolescent and young adult sarcoma patients: a population-based study in Alberta, Canada”. This timely, important and clinically relevant study will address the impact on symptom burden and quality of life in Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) sarcoma patients and has the potential to improve guidance for health professionals as well as inform the development for AYA programs.>
