On April 23, 2019, the first joint meeting of all the programs in AHS focused on cancer prevention was held at the RRDTC. Besides CEPR, the Alberta Cancer Prevention Legacy Fund, the Alberta’s Tomorrow Project, the Cancer Strategic Clinical Network and Cancer Screening Program representatives attended. Presentations from each of the programs were made in the morning that described the main strategic and research areas and the afternoon was spent in three breakout groups focused on knowledge translations, infrastructure/resources and research projects. The objective was to identify areas of potential future collaboration between these groups. The day was highly successful and plans are already underway for the next steps in collaborative work across these programs.
