Congratulations to Liam Sutherland who successfully defended his thesis “Development and internal validation of a risk prediction model for high-risk adenomas among average risk colorectal cancer screening participants”. He provided a very clear presentation and did an excellent job at answering the questions from his examiners. In particular, he really nailed some challenging statistical questions, which made his supervisor very proud. Liam has made considerable progress and learned a great deal over the past few years. We are very pleased that he will be continuing with our group to start his PhD in the fall continuing his research around colorectal cancer screening and the potential utility of additional biomarkers for screening.
