The Adolescents and Young Adults Becoming Physically Active After Cancer Trial (AYA-PACT) officially started on Monday, September 27th with a mail out through the Alberta Cancer Registry. This 5 year study is led by Dr. Miranda Fidler-Benaoudia and Dr. Christine Friedenreich.
The study is examining if a home-based, mobile health (mHealth) physical activity intervention can help to support a healthy lifestyle for adolescent and young adult (AYA) cancer survivors. The goal is to recruit 320 participants across Alberta who were diagnosed between the ages of 15 – 39 years old. Data collection for the study will take place at the Holy Cross Centre and at the U of A in Edmonton.
