Dr. Lin Yang and Dr. Christine Friedenreich have received funding through the CCS–CIHR Action Grants for their grant proposal entitled “Making Healthy Changes Easy: AI-Enabled Dialogue-Driven App for Personalized Cancer Prevention – RiskDialogue”. This two-year project, funded with $200,000, aims to develop a digital framework to support cancer risk reduction behaviour change. At this proof-of-concept stage, reducing prolonged sedentary time will be the target behaviour. This transdisciplinary project team also includes Dr. Yong Zeng as co-PI, who is a Professor at the Concordia Institue for Information Systems Engineering, and a group of co-investigators from the U of C, CCS, and international collaborators.
