CEPR was well represented at the recent Canadian Society for Epidemiology and Biostatistics conference held June 26-28 in Halifax. Christine was an invited plenary speaker for the opening session and presented on the topic of the contributions of epidemiology to Canada from the past to present in a session that also included Dr Richard Cook from Waterloo University. He provided a similar retrospective on the contributions of biostatistics research in Canada. Renee, Yibing and Dylan also attended and each gave either poster and/or oral presentations. Christine also moderated the closing plenary that was a look into the future of epidemiology and biostatistics. The presentation titles given by our group were as follows:

Renee presented a poster titled: Prospective Cohort of Pre- and Post-diagnosis Modifiable Lifestyle Behaviour on Second Primary Cancer Risk: an Alberta Endometrial Cancer Cohort Study. (Both Christine and Dylan were co-authors on this work)
Dylan had an oral presentation: “Age- and histology-specific testicular cancer incidence trends in Canada.”
