Evaluation of practical exercise tools for people with type 2 diabetes: resistance bands and the MyWellness Key Accelerometer

Synopsis:

There is a need for practical exercise tools to facilitate exercise, an important component of type 2 diabetes management. This presentation will share the results of a validation trial aimed at determining the accuracy of the MyWellness Key accelerometer in people with type 2 diabetes, discuss a systematic review and meta-analysis of resistance band training in type 2 diabetes, and share the design of a proposed randomized exercise trial utilizing MyWellness Key accelerometers and resistance band training in people with type 2 diabetes.
