Description: Maintaining a lean body weight, eating a healthy diet and being physically active are recommended for cancer prevention. As sedentary behaviors permeate our daily lives even those of us who comply with physical activity guidelines may have low overall energy expenditure. Low overall energy expenditure may force some individuals to reduce energy intake for the maintenance of healthy body weights. Preliminary findings examining the relation between this food intake and physical activity levels will be presented and the potential consequences for cancer risk will be discussed.
