We are happy to share that Irizelle Lategan has been accepted into the undergraduate medical program at the University of Alberta for September 2023. Irizelle first started working with Dr, Christine Friedenreich as a kinesiology undergraduate student for her practicum and then as a summer student in 2016. After completing her Master’s in Kinesiology degree at UCalgary, Irizelle returned to CEPR to work on the AMBER study and then on AYA-PACT, PEAK-RP and other projects in September 2019. Irizelle has been eager to continue her education and her perseverance has paid off. We are delighted that her dream has come true and we wish her all the very best in her training and future career as a physician. We know she will be compassionate, kind and caring in that role as she has repeatedly demonstrated with our cancer patients/survivors in our research studies.
